mg

no dark sarcasm in the classroom

by mg at 04:05 PM on December 16, 2002

For those of you decrying the change in tone around here, I’ve got some good news.

You’ll no longer have to deal with post upon post with me whining about how directionless my life is. Unfortunately, you will now have to wade through a plethora of posts with me whining about how much homework sucks. (Though, there is the potential for humorous posts about me striking out with hot librarian wanna-be chicks).

What I’m trying to say is that I just go the unofficial word that I was accepted into graduate school for Spring 2003.

I’m left surprisingly speechless by the news, but I thought I’d share my excitement. One more life hurdle – successfully, uh, hurdled. All I need to do now is figure out how to pay for it.

Yay! Congrats to you, boy! Now you can stop watching daytime trash television.

You will pay for it the same way we are all paying for our education. By winning the lottery and/or getting famous, of course!

Great. Hope it works out. Also, librarian chicks are easy, haven't you seen those movies?

If grad school is half as tedious as regular college, I wish you the best of luck.

Wow, that's great news mg. Congratulations!! This is the start of something big, I just know it. I'm so excited for us. I can't wait til we start classes. It's January when? Mid-January sometime right? When do we go back-to-school shopping? Do we need to buy the "Hello, my name is..." stickers? Will one pack be enough? Oh ok, two packs. Yeah, better go with two, just to be safe. We should get a study group together. Tuesdays we can study at my place. Thursdays at your place. Friday night, no classes, so we can go out with the study group. That still leaves Monday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday. What do we do on those days? You plan those ok? I already planned everything else. This will be so great. We were made for this librarian program! We will RULE this librarian program! We ARE the librarian program!

Wow, that is great. I think it is a super idea. Education is a great thing. You'll find your way, actually there is no way, just choices and you are making them very well.

Best of luck.

I am happy for both of you. :) Now all of us college-going people can bond! As for paying it, go to fafsa.com

That's great! I hope things work out for you, in the money area and in the hot librarian wanna-be chicks.

If you want practice, I know a very hot librarian chick who will almost assuredly shoot you down. The story of my one and only date with her is - and I'm not making this up - included in a book called Dates From Hell.

Anyway, congratulations, my friend! Great news.
