it must have been cold there in my shadow

by mg at 10:53 PM on December 03, 2002

One might guess by my deluge of comments that Im back. And if you did assume that, youd still be making an ass out of u and me, but itd be an ass Id want to smack all night long.

I am back, and Ill return to regular action tomorrow, but I really wanted to take the time to commend the recent crop of Bad Samaritans. If you take a look at the authors page (which, woefully, hasnt been updated in a year someone please yell at me about that), you can see that at various times Bad Sam has played home to many of Bloggings elite. While BS has never been nominated for any kind of blogging award, last year saw the personal sites of our staff vying in almost every Bloggy category.

This new crop of writers may not be as well known, but damn are they good, and damn do they understand what Im trying to do here. Now, more than ever, I really get the sense that this is a group blog, rather than just MG and some other people. I was able to go away for a week (and be pretty much MIA the couple of weeks before) and things trucked on without me. There were some great posts, and tons of comments, and just good feelings all around.

I hope everyone else appreciates these new kids as much as I do.

teacher leaves the classroom
says "teach yourselves today, kids."
returns to classroom only to find the kids on drugs and participating in a big orgy
teacher joins in

that's what this is like

Appreciate my ass.

*yells at MG for not updating authors page in over a year*

There. My work here is (temporarily) done.

This is exactly why I have always liked group E/N Blogs etc. more than the single "personalty" type sites. I always knew that I did not want to be the only voice at my site. In it's best implementation the content flows and keeps those eyeballs coming back.

Wooo! Yeah! *smacks my own ass*

Glad to hear from you. Sad that you still haven't made that page of authors that has my head right next to yours.

Linz, how is it that you have a job but also manage to comment on this website 15 times a day?

Tom, how is it that you have a job but also manage to comment on this website 15 times a day?

Linz, I'd love to give you head

... a space next to mine on the newly updated author's page.

I am just incredibly efficient. (Read: no one realizes that copying things only takes 5 seconds.)
I'm about to get promoted so that might all change... but in the meantime, this is the best web work diversion to hit the scenes since www.freearcade.com. And yet not nearly as incriminating, as long as I scroll past my own face. The thing that wakes me up sweaty and heart pounding is not the realization that mg was making innuendos, but the concern that our firewall may pick up on and block this site.

Speaking strictly for myself, I appreciate the nod. Now, about these Bloggy awards ya mentioned, do they entail any money? 'Cuz if so I'll dip into my commercial vault. No self-respecting publisher would publish that crap anyway. And what is with this *text* business? I am so hopelessly out-of-touch it's pathetic.

MG, I wouldn't be in such a hurry purchasing that plane ticket to Mexico, you know they say not to drink the water there.
