we don't need another hero, we don't need to know the way home

The big news this week was Lethal Weapon star Mel Gibson's arrest in Malibu, California for driving under the influence. But it wasn't just the drunken driving that was the story, but his drunken ramblings while getting arrested that has captured all the headlines. Gibson threatened the arresting officer, and made a number of anti-Semitic comments, including his belief that "the Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world."

Gibson's remarks about the Jews starting all the wars in the world captured even more headlines this week than the actual war that the Jews have started.

At first, the comments seem completely nonsensical and ignorant. But on closer inspection, the guy's got a point, and if anyone knows something about war, it's Mel. Gibson has been in a lot of war movies. In fact, of the 40+ movies on his IMDB filmography, nearly 1/4 are about war. Gibson knows what he's talking about. Let's take a closer look at some of Gibson's career-long research into the wars the Jews have started.

In Braveheart Gibson played William Wallacestein, a 13th century Jew who started a war against the English king to free his homeland of Scotland. In one famous scene, Wallace and his compatriots taunt the English soldiers by painting themselves blue, lifting their kilts and exposing their circumcision scars. In another scene Wallace gives a rousing speech to encourage his troops right before a battle. He ends the speech with this iconic line: "…they may take our lives, but they'll never take... OUR FREE GUM!” Those Jews are just so cheap they'd be willing to kill and die for a good deal.

In The Patriot Gibson played a farmer who was just minding his own business when he is forced to go into battle when some rowdy Northeastern Jews start a war, again with England. These Founding No-Foreskin Fathers dumped some tea into Boston Harbor, to protest taxation without representation. Again the Jews and money - anyone seeing a pattern here?

In We Were Soldiers Mel Gibson finally didn't go to war against England, this time playing an American Colonel in Vietnam. As we all know, the Vietnam War was started after the Jews insatiable need for Chinese food depleted all the food stocks on the mainland and their lusty desires moved on to Korea (a couple decades earlier) and then on into Vietnam. If it weren't for the brave and noble Khmer Rouge, they'd all be speaking Hebrew now in Asia.

In The Passion Of The Christ Gibson plays a Jewish carpenter whose followers would go on to start most of the major wars in the world for the next two millenia.

In a post-apocalyptic world (though never explicitly revealed in the movie, it should be obvious to everyone that the Jews started the apocalypse), Tina Turner is a Jewess with the hardest working legs in show-biz. In Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome Turner rules over a bunch of misfits in the titular city, while Gibson plays the titular character and defender of a group of orphaned children who Turner wants to make into Matzo ball soup.

If anyone would know about history and war, it's someone who has made a career of playing fictional characters in movies about things that didn't really happen. Maybe Gibson has a point after all?

Don't forget, in Chicken Run, he voiced a chicken that wanted to escape a farm where he and the other chickens were going to be killed for chicken soup to help Jewish people get over their colds.

What I found funniest about his arrest was him asking the arresting officer if he were a Jew. Turns out he was. My guess is the odds of that weren't high. A) Above all, Jews are sensible. They don't take low-paying jobs that might get you killed. B) LA isn't a big Jewish stronghold like New York. Most of the few LA Jews are movie producers or talent agents.

Such hateful rhetoric is unacceptable.

ET has a point. I don't think Mel even appeared in Passion. And since it is in another language, I never saw it.

I found all this info on Wikipedia, so it can't be inacurate.

I think it's funny that Hitler and Eviltom share an IP address. I bet that isn't all they share.

"Gibson's remarks about the Jews starting all the wars in the world captured even more headlines this week than the actual war that the Jews have started."

Brilliant! lmao. I think it's great that Mel is looking elsewhere for scapegoats, he did seem to have a thing about brutal Brits for a while there... even if most of the brutal stuff was probably fairly accurate. His Braveheart showing didn't do the English any favours as the majority of Scots thought they were watching actual war footage from Edward I's campaign, and their seething hatred for all things English was rekindled, or uh, given more fuel at least. It actually did really well in English cinemas, we got to see a Scot splayed across a wooden bench having his guts pulled out in the end. Don't take the poison Mel, "It wall nom yor-uh wets!"

During the World Cup this year a vast majority of English people were dumbfounded when they discovered that their grudging neighbours the Scots weren't going to support England's campaign in this hearty drama of a sporting occasion. "We're all Britons, you should show some love." A Sky News reporter was sent as ambassador, she a Scot working in London, (The place 40% of Scots live and work.) actually turned red-faced when one of the toothless ol' Scots she found in a pub replied, "No, lass, I was at bannockburn. I'm not supporting England." The English guys in the newsroom were pissing themselves laughing, as this apparently seven-hundred year-old man seemed to harbour a genuine grudge. I think any English people wathing this realised the very last people we need support from, are the Scots riding the back of our economy and genuinely donating sweet FA to the United Kingdom, except ancient grudges over the actions of Englishmen long, long, long dead.

But that Scot, he really 'was' at bannockburn, me thinks. Braveheart was an entirely accurate picture that carried him on wings of fancy to put down the English oppressors. He no doubt bellowed 'Freedom' with Gibson and won his place in the annals of Scottish history as a veteren of the Scots' only great stand against their neighbours. His prize was a stool in a pub and a chance to incite hatred for Englishman to the listening young punters, wide-eyed and in awe of him, hoping that in their time they'll see a Hollywood release that could make them hereos too.

Maybe a movie about Romans depicting Picts as Scots? That would be inaccurate enough to become a box office hit. The Scots can't remember ever 'invading' this island and kicking out the inhabitants. They believe they were responsible for the halt of Roman legions. Aaah, if only the Allies had given Scotland to the Jews at the end of the war. *tear*

Those sneaky jews. They started WW2 and riged it si that they would appear to be the victims of genocide, and what happens? The world gives them their very out country!

Still, Right now, Ilam wants me dead, and the Jews dont, so they get my vote. I mean really, Who have they every PERSONALLY killed, as with their own hands?

I guess Cheney almost got his best frieng(that sneaky back stabbing Jew), but alas, I guess Jews are just at bad at killing as they are at basket ball, though they seem to do a fine job when it cmes to lebanese.

The headline screams "Lebenese fire 500 rockets into israel, killing a Israli man.

Ah...the statistics only a a zealot could smile at.

I'm deeply offended. :(

You should pop 'round my end some time, and I'll give you three tours of England. One through upper class suburbia where the fnar's 'n' har's will slap your ears stupid. One through middle class-dom where you'll be entertained by the almost painful expression of 'true' Englishness, still flying the flag of an Empire long dead, and then one through a council estate, where the sheer lack of English people will leave you wondering what country you're in... and leave you robbed of your clothes and cash, probably. :/

If you asked I could give you a grudging tour of Wales... I would drive you twenty miles into the country and stop at a petrol station, send you to pay for the fuel, and already have the car facing back to England before you get back, running, and screaming, "Drive, you fool! Back to civilsation!" I'd even provide a towel for the spittle you'd be nervously rubbing off of your face.

I'd have to hire a harder man than myself to take you up North though. Scotland. The jeering warbands are enough to keep me on my side of the border. Besides, they still need to get some roads up there, you have to drive about a mile an hour, because anytime a car comes towards you, you either have to reverse to find a layby, or skid through the roadside ditches praying your suspension will hold you until the oncoming car has passed. That or you can take your chances and hope that the other car will do the latter while you speed onward with your eyes closed...
