What you do when you have no life

You take the 24 Hour Comic Challenge.

"It's a challenge: one cartoonist tries to create a full 24 page comic, normally months of work, in 24 straight hours."

What better way to spend a beautiful, sunny, Saturday than inside? I started at noon on Saturday and passed out at about 6 am on Sunday. I was only able to do 20 pages instead of the 24 needed, but at least I finished the story. I know, I wussed out and only worked for 18 hours and could have done 4 more pages in 6 hours, but sleep is good.

I don't think I would have even gotten as far as I did if it weren't for the 24 Hour Comic Blog. I'd check it every few hours to see how everyone else was coming along. There were 71 event locations where people would do the challenge together and a few of them would post updates on the blog. The images and stories kept me motivated. I hope next year there's an event location closer to me. Although, it was nice to be at home so I could pass out in my nice, comfortable bed.
