Drinking coke in a kitchen with a dog that doesn’t know its name

by lajoie at 01:56 AM on December 20, 2003

Here's me chiming in, a late edition to the well wishers. Let me say thank you too, MG. What the hell else would I possibly do to go with my morning coffee as I rub my eyes at work until 10am and try to approach some meaningful thought level for working? If you have one drink this holiday, let it be your favorite. But if you have two drinks, try something else you don't normally have or even like and say it's from me. I'll pay you back later.

now to my holiday wishes....

Mr. Blank may you find your lost lady friend and draw about it on your blog including vivid penetration imagery.

Anna, may you really get a better Internet connection for Christmas and perhaps some good FIFA time with young Ian. Also may you get drunk.

Linz, may you get willingly groped by ten sailors....and see all those stars for nirvana. These two items can be unrelated.

Ezy, may you and the engineering department take turns 'cleveland steaming' Al at your office Christmas party. Then after a couple of egg nogs, tell him you know all about guns.

Lucy, may you stick around and comment more, including handy Spanish sayings that I keep forgetting, yet which describe very specific circumstances in very beautiful ways.

Jean, may you provide more 'best stories ever', for I am in constant need.

Liz, may you write more even if love precludes it...

Effenheimer, may your health return, and your wit boil over as you begin posting again. Also I’d like it if your first story back was about strippers. Preferably female.

Chuck, may you still be alive somewhere.

Lockheed (see comment for Chuck).

and MG....may you kick Mick Jagger 'out the way’ during his knighthood ceremony and receive a soft tap of the sword on your shoulder from the dodgy old queen of England.

Or maybe this already happened. I’m not so up on my news anymore.

That’s it. That’s all I had to say. Cheers to all.

I will get drunk at some point no doubt. But the hitch is that it will be alone as my wife is on an abstinence kick. My BS wish is that Necro would reappear here. I love his Greek perspective and at times tortured English. I'd also like to see Rayanne and Jen X post something.

Still alive. Been busy lately, getting ready for Christmas, receiving relatives that have flown across the country for the holidays, etc etc.

I am formulating a post on the Grinch side of my job. stuff like keeping people in jail for the holidays, keeping families apart (so they don't kill each other) etc.

Hopefully I'll have it up sometime soon.

As for lockheed, I am beginning to wonder. Of course, with the financial trouble he's alluded to, maybe he doesn't have a computer anymore...

Lajo, may you wake up Christmas morning in a Kirstin Dunst, Rebecca Romijn-Stamos sandwich with your candycane at the ready.

Yea Anna, I wonder what happened to Necro?

by Ezy at December 22, 2003 10:10 AM

that's a good christmas sandwich indeed. if it happens you'll be the first to know.

and keep us up to date on the Al goings on this week. down with defecation!

I'm not sure if he mentioned it here, but Necro had mentioned to me at the time he frequented the site that he was immenently due for his stretch in the military. I'm guessing that is what he is up to now. Better than thinking he just got bored and left.

Shit, that's right MG. I think I do remember him mentioning that.

Lajo, I commented this over on my post but Al has left for Christmas vacation and won't be back until January 3rd. We will resume the battle then. I liked Jean's idea about the itching powder. Nice!

If you keep posting, I'll keep commenting. I'll even look up new spanish sayings, just for you guys ;-)

by Lucy at December 23, 2003 3:11 AM

Love the Spanish sayings. I've been writing them down. The next time I visit Mexico I'll use them as my stock answers to everything. I can't go wrong. Thanks, Lucy.

*sniffle* i love you man.

i promise if love causes me to end up helping drive a uhaul across country next month, i'll bring my laptop & write constantly from everywhere.

& continue after that, of course. i'll be on a roll.

Thanks, lajoie. I'll keep updating if there is anything to report, which is not looking like much.

It occurs to me that Lajo probably has those rock-hard soccer player legs that I get during the season year round. All that pedaling up and down SF's hilly streets, you know.

Awww, thanks Lajoie! I'll try to keep them coming. Some of the best-ofs are funny, and some are sad. Hmm... the best making-the-deadline-for-my-college-paper story is a funny one. I'll bust out with it some time.
