Thought I disappeared, didn’t you?

Well, in a sense, I did.

I was away this weekend for a wedding, don’t worry ladies, it wasn’t my own.

I am the oldest child in this generation of my extended family of cousins and siblings. I’ve always been the one to do everything, good and bad, first. This weekend when of my younger cousins got married. And while I did feel more that just a tiny twinge of jealousy, I couldn’t help but be happy for her, since she and her new hubby are just so right for each other.

I took off work Friday and drove the 8 hours from New York to Charlottesville, Virginia, where they’d be getting married. The wedding took place at this beautiful little old chapel on the campus of the University of Virginia, where the couple met. All in all, this was the most beautiful and fun wedding I’d ever been to.

Besides just the irrational “me first” jealousy, there is a little deeper seeded envy springing from wanting to be the one getting married. I’d always thought I’d be hitched by now, and it is just a little sad that I’m not.

I maybe drank a little too much, and ended up making a couple drunken calls to girls, the whole “I was just at this wedding and thinking of you,” call. Luckily, my cell phone battery died before I went through the full list of people I could imagine being happily married too.

Sigh.

While I was away, someone at my hosting company decided this site sponsored child pornography and banned my site. I don’t want to get into it all because it’ll probably just get me into more trouble, but I managed to convince that I’m an okay person, while writing long emails from the road on cell phone.

So, yeah, that is why I wasn’t around the last couple days, and why the site was down for a couple days while I wasn’t around. I’m back now, and tired, but ready to hit it.

Is that why I can't log into my MT account or FTP to the subdomain account? :(

gah. that is another issue entirely. The reason my site even came to the attention of my hosts is because they switched servers. This site is now physically located in Las Vegas, which would seem to me they'd have a bit more leniency with potential offensive material, but whatever. KD, guru of the internet, was nice enough to fix my version of MT, I'll try to convince her, or have her show me, how to fix the other versions running.

This isn't quite as exciting as your run-in with The Man, but still pretty bad-ass.

this site sponsored child pornography

Please, please tell me it wasn't my 'google pr0n' shtik that triggered their ire.

While the site was down, I checked out www.goodsamaritan.com, and wouldn't you know it...it's a site for an ointment of some sort.

Maybe BadSam should follow suit.

Well, the tech guy who noticed the "porn" and banned the site couldn't provide any specific details to what had raised his ire. Since he did specifically mention kiddie porn, I assumed it was in reference to either your Goggle Pron post, or the comments on the Live Nude Girls (some of which have since been deleted, but you can see the original in google's cached version). I don't think either really stepped over any sort of line, and both end up being completly opposed to kiddie porn, which I hope everyone understands this site, and me personally, is also against.
