I've been debating over the next iteration of Bad Samaritan. I’m sure it's about time for a redesign; this current has lasted longer than any other (6 months now). I’d wager I'm probably much sicker of this than any of you are, but I know I'm plenty sick. And there ain’t no cure for this disease but hitting Photoshop hard for a couple days to bang out something beautiful and sparkly and fresh.
The new design is very pretty in my head, and pretty imminent. There is no way you can change my mind on this. No matter how many of you call and email telling me the current design is the most breathtaking thing you’ve ever seen and to change it would be a crime. Nope, nothing any of you can say or do will convince me not to move ahead, except possibly money and/or nudie pictures.
Anyway, the point of this post is that I’m seriously thinking of getting rid of the whole separate blogs thing. It never really worked out the way I wanted, and is just confusing and stupid. I want to know if anyone has any valid reason for keeping this design and/or keeping the portal idea alive in the new design. So, what do you’all think?

the fact that the separate blogs idea never really worked wasnt your fault tho. it's just that you have a talented, yet lazy-ass, team of bloggers. i mean, when this all started 6 months ago, i thought you guys were going to be world champs. but look at badsam now... your leader is hapless and disgruntled, you lost every home game in the month of august, the fans arent coming out to see you, the media is... oh wait. that's the new york mets. sometimes i get mg and the new york mets confused.

Well, the two community blogs were confusing. I think it's a good idea to combine them. Don't you want to keep the MG Blog separate? That's your own spot.
Do you have screen shots of all the old designs? I'd like to see how things have evolved. I think I started reading at the 2nd or 3rd design.

Actually, I don't have screen shots for the old designs. I wish I did. The Internet Archive has archives of the site going back to December 2000, which was the 2nd revision (of, I think, 6 total major designs). Unfortunately, they only save the html, not the images and css, so they all sort of looked fucked up. Still, you can sort of get on an idea where things came from, and how we got to here. This current revision, though, doesn't really follow the progression. The new one is also starkly different.

mg, I have an uneducated hunch that the new layout will suck more than this one.
So hurry, because the sooner you get the new one up, the sooner you'll get tired of it and move on to the next one. That one'll be good.

I have tried several times to understand the seperate blogs thing & the only one that made sense was the mg-only part. that made sense because you are so you-focused, you. geez.

Hey MG! Just wanted to ummmm say H-E-L-L-O! It has been waaaaaayyyy too long since I have just been able to come in, check things out, read, relax and say how the heck are all of you doing? So....how the heck are all of you doing? :) Hope all is well and if you ask me Bad looks really good the way it is but then it has been a hell of a long time since I have been able to stop in...
