cucumber salad
by mg at 07:52 PM on June 04, 2001
I realised I hadn't added any new friends in a while, and was thinking to myself, "Hmmm, who should I add?" Then I remembered seeing Cucumber in my referer logs over the past couple weeks, and that every time I went over to her site I loved what I read.
She writes wonderful things like this:
Yesterday I went to all my classes. Today I will go to all my classes. Possibly stoned, but we shall see about that. I am going to go to every class for the last two weeks of school even if it kills me. Even if I have to go stoned. I've never been to a class very stoned, except for one time. I wrote a test and did PRETTY DAMN WELL.
Isn't that wonderful? Can't you just hear her voice in your head? I love her writing, but I'm kind of worried about her drug use. However, she has really cute pink hair. Hmm... yeah Cucumber!
Anyone else want to be linked up?

Hey, thank you SO MUCH! This is one of my favourite sites, and the writing is such quality here, I'm honoured. I was going to apply for Zia or Shar's spot but I'm lazy and they are not so they got space and I did not.

Yay for cute pink hair! I now approve of Cucumber. I'd even make cucumber dill fingers sammiches with you! You know, the yummy ones on those cute little squares of rye bread?

Oh, those are good. Feel free to come up to Toronto: I'll supply the Cucumbers.

Worried about her drug use? Is pot a drug? Come on, I'd be worried about someone who wasn't getting stoned on a regular basis at 19. Heh I love her stuff:
Remember how I said I was going to go to every class? Well, I skipped English today because I needed to study for a psychology test. I didn't study all weekend because I was living it up with my homeskillet Karen.
I got to her house Saturday afternoon, and we fooled around with her webcam, taking lots of pictures. I look really bad in them, in almsot every one my face looks round and dimpley, but at least I have evidence of the infamous pink hair now.
We started drinking rum and diet cokes because we were going to see the Wax Man at the Raven, a Hamilton bar, and we had no money to buy drinks once we got there. So we figured, let's drink now! And we did, and it was good.
The next day we fucked around on the Internet, and eventually I made my way home, where I proceeded to avoid studying for the test. Today I skipped the first period to study, then at lunch ROLLED A FATTY (as I like to say) and smoked that. I wrote my test stoned and although I had great difficulty forming coherent sentences, I filled in the blanks quickly and knowledgeably, and I think my writing is strong enough to support me through a brain cell deficient hour such as that. I mean, my English when stoned is still a lot better than the normal English of lots (even Canadian-born) of students in my class! I rule.
Indeed.
I love reading a few young people on a regular basis. I sound like my Dad. Feck! But really, at 33 . . . it does make me feel nostalgic.
I had a link to Auroa Pixie - and it looks like she's moving to the US and going away for a while - so Cucumber the Canadian will make a nice replacement for my youth fix.
She's a cutie, too. Not that THAT matters, eh Michael?
I can't believe we all made it through these comments without one "cucumber" crack.

Cucumber crack? Well, I don't have a drug problem, but I can certainly tell you making crack out of cucumbers probably wouldn't be the best idea.

Me, not lazy?
Ha!
Uh, how many times have I posted here?
Yeah. That's what me thought.
